Halloween Parade Tuesday, October 31st
Students should bring their costumes to school in a bag marked with their name.
Parade starts at 9:15 am.
Visitors should enter the school building by the presentation room door (next to the cafeteria). To avoid congestion in the hallways we are asking visitors to stay in the presentation room or outside of the school building in the front courtyard. Thank you.
Kindergarten students are invited to participate in our annual Halloween parade around Foster School. Family members are invited to watch the parade from the presentation room or in the courtyard. Spectator carpooling is encouraged as parking can be a challenge. Parking is available in the lot by the cafeteria. Students should bring their costumes to school in a bag clearly marked with their name. Volunteers will be available to assist in putting on costumes before the parade. Students should wear clothes under their costumes as there will not be private dressing areas. Students will be changing into their regular clothes after the parade. Please do not send weapons as props (guns, knives, swords, etc…) Costumes should allow for walking up and down stairs without tripping and have good visibility for the wearer (please make certain that masks have large enough eye holes).
Students will be exiting from the outside door at Mrs. Pappone’s kindergarten room at 9:15 am. This is the door to the left of the main entrance in our front courtyard.
The volunteers assisting with costumes should enter the school building by the front entrance and sign in at the office. ALL OTHER VISITORS should enter the school by the presentation room door (next to the cafeteria). To avoid congestion in the hallways we are asking that these visitors stay in the presentation room or outside of the school building.
We will pass through the courtyard outside, and then back into the main entrance ... we will proceed through the school eventually winding through the presentation room and back to our classrooms. Spectators can line the sidewalk of the court yard and then meet down in the presentation room for refreshments! Refreshments will be set up in the presentation room for the adults.
4 - 6 volunteers are needed in the classroom 20 minutes before the parade starts to assist students in getting their costumes on. 2 volunteers are needed for after the parade to assist in taking off of costumes. These two volunteers should plan to stay until around 10:45 - 11:00 am. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up on the link above.
Thank you!
